U.S. ALLIES ALSO INTERCEPT RUSSIA-TRUMP ADVISER COMMUNICATIONS

Source: Newsweek

As part of intelligence operations being conducted against the United States for the last seven months, at least one Western European ally intercepted a series of communications before the inauguration between advisers associated with President Donald Trump and Russian government officials, according to people with direct knowledge of the situation.

The sources said the interceptions include at least one contact between former National Security Advisor Michael Flynn and a Russian official based in the United States. It could not be confirmed whether this involved the telephone call with Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyak that has led to Flynn’s resignation, or additional communications. The sources said the intercepted communications are not just limited to telephone calls: The foreign agency is also gathering electronic and human source information on Trump’s overseas business partners, at least some of whom the intelligence services now consider to be agents of their respective governments. These operations are being conducted out of concerns that Russia is seeking to manipulate its relationships with Trump administration officials as part of a long-term plan to destabilize the NATO alliance.

Moreover, a Baltic nation is gathering intelligence on officials in the Trump White House and executives with the president’s company, the Trump Organization, out of concern that an American policy shift toward Russia could endanger its sovereignty, according to a third person with direct ties to that nation’s government.

The Western European intelligence operations began in August, after the British government obtained information that people acting on behalf of Russia were in contact with members of the Trump campaign. Those details from the British were widely shared among the NATO allies in Europe. The Baltic nation has been gathering intelligence for at least that long, and has conducted surveillance of executives from the Trump Organization who were traveling in Europe.

Yep. As of yet, nothing meaningful.

But at the rate we're going, it wouldn't surprise me if critical mass is reached before too long. I suspect the CONS in both houses of Congress will be able to stomach only so much before even they have to give up. I imagine The Donald and all his little pals have the ability to keep stinking up the joint til the smell becomes unbearable and un-ignorable any longer.

When enough of them see that HE'S damaging THEM, he's a goner. They won't be able to keep up the pretences forever. Soon it will be impossible to accept that there's nothing to see here.

Besides, it looks as though the intel community is determined to get us all there.

I've been around a while, just finally participating.

That was my thoughts as well, but some of my liberal friends keep telling me I'm delusional and they'll never turn on him. I bet there will be a catalyst at some point.

O.o wow, missed that article yesterday. Thanks. There just isn't enough popcorn in the world.

As long as the GOP controls congress and they have a puppet in the WH to sign their horrible laws and get their agenda through they don't care about the treason. From what I see from middle America, they don't seem concerned either. They are happy to have a racist white man in the White House.

When they finally understand how disgusted most voters are, they will have to co-operate or be Cantor'd (Eric Cantor thought he was bulletproof, until he lost his election) None of them want to lose their easy, money flowing jobs. Not much work, just taking the $$$ from lobbyists, to do the bidding of their rich owners. Taxpayers be damned. These fools are so out of touch, they were shocked when they held town halls, attended by angry voters in favor of keeping the ACA in place.

What is is going to take before Trump and his team are brought before a special prosecutor?
Our nation is completely compromised -- putting us at great risk and the GOP wants to sweep it under the rug.

There is talk now of sending ground combat troops to Syria -- is that to shore up support for Trump? To make him a war president? Questioning him will be tantamount to being unpatriotic?

He's having a "campaign" rally this weekend i Florida -- apparently his ego needs soothing after this rough week. He needs to hear from his adoring fans who will cheer and applaud every lie he tells them.

At that point their hold on the House and Senate are thrown into jeopardy. It's is only then - when their super cushy jobs are threatened that they will care about protecting the constitution from all threats - foreign and domestic.

The former Soviet republic did so much damage to this country and Putin continues to be a daily threat. They have scratched and scraped to hold on to their independence. They will fight fiercely against these devils. I'm sure Estonia and Lithuania are right behind them.
