White House dismisses 6 over failed background checks

Source: Politico

Several White House staffers were dismissed Thursday morning after failing FBI background checks, according to sources familiar with the matter.

Six aides were "walked out of the building by security" on Wednesday after not passing the SF86, a Questionnaire for National Security Positions for security clearance.

Among those whose White House posts were revoked was President Donald Trumpís director of scheduling, Caroline Wiles, the daughter of Susan Wiles, Trumpís Florida campaign manager and former chief of staff to Governor Rick Scott. Wiles was appointed deputy assistant secretary before the inauguration in January. Two sources close to Wiles said she will get another job in Treasury.

She's among others who failed to pass the intensive background check, which includes questions on the applicant's credit score, substance use and other personal subjects.

A White House spokesperson did not respond to a request for comment.

Whole article there.

The SF86 is the standard OPM form for a background check to receive security clearance. Clearance can be rejected for a number of reasons, but common ones include a criminal history, severe debt or mismanagement of money, financial conflict of interest, or unexplained foreign travel or associations.

Criminal history, severe debt or mismanagement of money, financial conflict of interest, or unexplained foreign travel or associations.

Doh!

6. I didn't see yours until I wrote mine

Surely Cheetolinni had to pass the security clearance test, did he not? Surely, Presidents, fake or real, must pass security clearance.

8. Sadly, no

The Constitution (by way of the Electoral College) takes precedence over OPM regulations.

10. I'm gobsmacked

That's fucking insane. I suppose Pence got a pass, too? Well, that explains why no drug screening for our white nosed idiot. That explains an awful lot. That make doesn't make sense. I never considered it before because of course those running this country have to have the highest security clearance.

How the fuck did SCROTUS (So Called Ruler of The United States) get clearance?

The dumbest people in this country felt he deserved the clearance with their vote.

No security clearance needed for the treasury.

11. LOL. Of course. Actually, the FBI checked us out

when my husband went to work for the Jet Propulsion Lab in Pasadena and needed a top secret clearance. Dumb us, the first we knew what this actually meant was when our friends told us they were being asked questions about us. I'm not entirely proud that he had such an unintresting wife. I'd actually like my history to include some problems, but I was home raising children in those days, my most radical involvements with the PTA and a monthly donation to the ACLU. That's my excuse anyway.

19. Have you had ANY contact with Russia,

Russians either in the US or in Russia? Have any Russian citizens been in your home? etc

these were the questions asked of my friend who did federal retirement for federal employees. Her neighbors were asked if they knew of any contact with Russians by my friend and whether or not Russian were seen at her house.
FFS - how is this nest of traitors in the WH able to bypass what all federal employees are required to pass for security reasons.

42. Biggest no-no is to lie on the SF86

If you're honest about your colorful past, you may get more scrutiny, but you'll still likely "pass" (unless you admit to being something like an Al Qaeda sleeper agent or something extreme, lol).

Given the pervasive dishonest of the Trump people, I wouldn't be surprised if a bunch of people got caught misrepresenting/lying on the form.

The thing is to admit it not lie about it. Well a president doesn't have to pass the screening anyway.
