Veteran journalist and Watergate reporter Carl Bernstein hammered President Trump today for saying that the political media is the “enemy of the American people.”

The president is getting significant blowback recently, both for blasting the press during his Thursday press conference, and for a tweet yesterday that lists several major outlets as “the enemy.” Bernstein has been critical of Trump for months, and he now says that Trump’s slams against the press are now on a “more treacherous” level than Richard Nixon:

This is the hot story of the moment. Where were they 16 months ago? 12 months? 6 months? Where were they when they were supposed to their jobs. Did they really think this narcissist in chief was going to print every word as if he is the emperor.

Even if it had been Jeb Bush that won the election I'd feel a hell of a lot better, no matter my feelings about the Bush cabal. Knowing we had dodge a bullet by getting rid of the Dumpster. We can't take it back and now the press is playing the victim.

6. Just keep exposing the lies

You will not convert all the dead heads but you'll peel those on the fringes away and leave him with significantly less power with a small minority - even Republicans will realize they cannot stay in power riding a losing horse.

It won't prevent something catastrophic but it can reduce the chances of something catastrophic happening.

Things something like this should be pinned up on every possible site so they never fall off the front page - always front and center

Maybe tie in others doing similar work that have links to backup what they're saying.

You won't convert everyone. Some of these people are loony. But you'll snag a bunch and tip the scales of credibility against him. Won't be that hard to make him the biggest liar in US history because he is.

He can say "fake news" all he wants. Fact is that he watches and follows "fake news". Always has. Eventually, even the ignoramus will catch on - when it is to late politically to save himself.
