He called Sergeant McGillicuddy down in the White House Situation Room..."so tell me McGillicuddy, did the terrorists bomb Sweden?" McGillicuddy, knowing Trump will beileve anything, tells him, "why yes Mr. President, the terrorists did bomb Sweden."

Two hours later, the staff of the Situation Room are gathered around their teevees when McGillicuddy starts dancing in the aisles..."see? I TOLD ya! None of you people thought I was serious when I said Trump was this fucking stupid...you assholes all owe me a case of beer. Each."

That's the thing about being President of the United States of America. Politicians may need to lie for national security and diplomatic reasons. But implicit in that is that they know the true facts. The President has an organization this is supposed to check to make sure that the President has the correct information.

Passing on some bullshit from Fox News or Breitbart does not meet the standard.

I can't help but notice that our friends in the 'liberal media' have begun the inevitable setup of Pence. They're making sure we know, Pence was out of the loop, Pence was uninformed about this and that nefarious thing, Pence is the diplomatic one...

We all know what's coming.

I think P knows all of it and perhaps more. He is privy to both the 45-Bannon Bantor as well as the congressional/senate/koch/etc.. plans. There were times during the campaign that he almost walked away, according to reports. He walked into this with eyes open.

He is there to be the cleaner. No matter what he knew or when he knew it, they'll bury it. He'll come out of this appearing to be as innocent as the day he was born. Trump should have never been sworn in. Obama called in McConnell to make an arrangement and McConnell said he would cry 'partisan politics' if Obama tried to delay the inauguration to investigate the situation. That way the GOP got all of its seats and the White House, which they knew would go to Pence in the likelihood that Trump washed out. They all hate Trump. There isn't anyone he hasn't pissed off or pissed on.

So it's goodbye Donald and Pence, culture warrior supreme, takes over to lead the agenda of dismantling the social safety net and all regulation.

If there's a silver lining, the real silent majority has finally woken up. They're watching the GOP defend the indefensible. An next they're going to watch the orgy of right wing defunding, deregulating and dismantling. This time they'll get it. We'll go energized and organised into the 2020 election cycle and it will be a blood bath for the GOP. And it won't stop there. And then the pendulum is going to swing back hard.

I'm 57 and I'm talking about the long game.

and I'm HOPING you are right about the pendulum swinging back. We can learn a lesson here - well several lessons, but the big one is to start small and local and then build big. We are great at putting greatness in the highest position in government, but where we lost was by not focusing at the local level. We need someone (President Obama are you out there??) to put together a strategy, find and grow talent, going from the very basics of local office to mayors, governors, etc.

its the only way we will get out from under red-rule and gerrymandering. We not only won by nearly 3 million votes, there are approx 62+ million to add to that count (65,844,954 (48.2%). It is time to not only wake everyone up, but to actually get going and organize. The people are standing by - primed and ready to go. The protests show that they WANT to unite and be of one voice and WHAT they are protesting shows where THE PEOPLE'S values lie. There ought to be organizers at every single protest getting names and organizing local meetings, write in campaigns, setting up meetings, finding community organizers, and offering resources.

Now is the time. This is an outstanding opportunity for Democratic leaders to harness this energy and change the course of history.

And it gets better. The millennials get a bad rap. They have an innate ability to organize themselves which has virtually never existed before. If they can get focused they can do unimaginable things. Did you see how they organized themselves during the occupy movement? It was like watching clockworks.

They're into localism, DYI, free swap meets, community gardens... grassroots politics is right in their wheelhouse.

And it's already happening. Bernie is the man in this movement and if you know his history Bernie knows how to win with long odds. What he pulled off in the primaries was pretty amazing. And these millennials, these guys operate so quickly when it comes to organizing. They're already all over it. Justice Democrats is a good example.

Everyone I'm talking to among my more politically astute friends tells me they went to this rally, and there were way more people there than they expected, same for town hall meetings, big rowdy crowds, demands that skittish senators hold town halls. The natives are restless. We've had about enough of this.

The Women's March was the biggest protest in history. The ground is moving. It took so long I'm shocked it's even happening. My hairs been on fire since 2001. I didn't think anyone was ever going to wake up again. But I think it's finally here.

The worst thing about Trump is the best thing about Trump. He's a completely over the top cartoon villain. But he's so disorganized, ignorant of how things work, he's feckless, sound and fury. And he's already toast. He's entered a death spiral. It's only going to get worse.

So we've got that as a recruiting tool. You can't beat it. A villain right out of central casting to scare the electorate into local politics and the voting booths.

I'm rambling, but you get the idea. It's happening as we speak.

From Tucker Carlson’s show on Friday night, which included a clip claiming to document alleged violence committed by refugees in Sweden. See also this longer Google translated link: Here is the falsehood in the Fox feature on Sweden:
http://translate.google.com/translate?hl=en&ie=UTF-8&sl=auto&tl=en&u=http://www.aftonbladet.se/nyheter/a/4azPo/efter-trumps-pik-har-ar-osanningarna-i-fox-inslaget-om-sverige&prev=_t

The small country of Sweden has a lot of free space, and has chosen to open up for millions of new citizens from all the world, and is now booming as the largest economy of the Nordic countries.
