Video shared ahead of CPAC shows Milo Yiannopoulos appearing to speak fondly of relationships betwee

Source: New York Daily News

Breitbart editor Milo Yiannopoulos appeared to speak tolerantly of pedophilia in video clips shared ahead of his speaking engagement at next week's Conservative Political Action Conference.

The right-wing provocateur recalled his own sexual abuse as a teen and did not appear to outright condemn similar relationships between children and men on a 2016 episode of "The Drunken Peasants" podcast.

He flippantly said young boys "discover who they are" through such relationships, later implying that those relationships can be sexual in nature, and can "give them security and safety and provide them with love and a reliable rock where they can't speak to their parents.”

A host with the popular podcast fired back at Yiannopoulos and said, "Sounds like Catholic priest molestation to me."

is that this dude says this kind of crap to reaffirm right wing fantasies and lies about gay people.

Look, the right says "gay people want to indoctrinate young people in to the gay lifestyle." That is one of their attempts to cause panic and bigotry.

Then this dude comes along and says "Look at me, I'm gay. And I want to indoctrinate young people in the gay lifestyle."

And the far right says "see, we told you so but the lying liberals want you to believe that this is not true. But here is the proof."

The guy is a charade, a character, a walking right wing meme that he is acting out.

An idiot's idea of what a gay might wear (and act), just as O'Keefe's getup was an idiot's idea of what a pimp might wear.

Perhaps between a small group of philosophy majors huddled together in a booth in a bar somewhere. It is not something you advocate. Ever. Bill Maher probably thinks he's a genius at letting this guy have some additional airtime. I think Maher is stupid.

I think Bill did exactly the right thing exposing him on the show.

I, probably like many people, had no clue who--or what--he is until Friday night. Of course several of Maher's comments did not meet the DU purity test; they rarely do. But this is a clear case of sunlight being the best disinfectant.

If Hitler was alive today, would we want to see him interviewed on live TV? Such exposure may be good in some circumstances, but it might also elevate the unredeemable and gain them additional traction and followers.

Progressive media outlets should stick to pushing progressive values, imo. Let the worst of the Conservatives keep to their echo chambers of right-wing talk shows.

But I do see your point.

And maybe he would've been exposed for the madman he was before he got to do so much damage, who knows?

But...I just saw a new LBN post...MY is now denying he made those comments and the CPAC board is all like "how did HE get to be the keynote?" So both our points may be moot soon.

I just posted on Facebook this article and said that my Republican grandparents would be rolling in their graves right now. Their party is now dead. They now have Pedophiles keynoting their party organizations. Nice job.

There is no context in which an adult fucking a 7th grader is OK, regardless of the genders involved.

You were molested at 14 by a priest and look how you turned out...a self-loathing troll.
