Trump's plan to broaden deportation rules could cost billions and hurt the US economy, experts say

Source: New York Daily News

The sweeping immigration enforcement outlined by the Trump administration could cost billions of dollars to execute, cripple the American economy, and possibly present a humanitarian crisis the likes of which the country has never seen, experts say.

Department of Homeland Security Secretary John Kelly said in a pair of memos describing the plan on Tuesday that the U.S. “no longer will exempt classes or categories of removable aliens from potential enforcement.”

The memos, combined with President Trump’s executive actions on immigration, call for the hiring of thousands of additional federal agents, enlisting local law enforcement to assist in apprehension, and beefing up the number of immigration judges.

Experts from both sides of the aisle aren’t quite sure where the money for the increased enforcement will come from and believe that the economic fallout from the deportation of 11 million undocumented immigrants could be staggering.

When the ICE comes to pick up undocumented people there will be a wall of resistance from people who will stand and guard make a human wall against ICE. We are ready to be activated to protect people.

Specifically from Mexico, Central, and South America.

Nevermind those who flew or shipped here that overstay their work and travel visas.
Nevermind them, no, tRump and his ugly followers can't wait to build human warehouses near the southern border and hire 10,000 more border cops.

And the majority have no problem with this.
I may need to move from this hate filled country.

This election has just shown the worst in people.

I've read so many comments where supporters of shipping everyone out or denying entry has been "I'm willing to pay more for everything" as long as everyone is gone. And I'm sitting over here wondering where the damn humanity has gone. Willing to pay more for products and services, but not willing to pay anything for others to enjoy freedom and liberty and a piece of the dream?

As long as he can keep stoking the hate fires he figures all will be well (for him, and that is all that matters). There will be no town halls at Mar-a-Lago.

for all those acolytes of Comrade Twilter to "acquire" the assets of those being deported at deep, deep discounts or even for free. Grand theft on an epic scale.

one month in and a few hundred deportees for Trump..... another 13 million to go. These GOP bean counters sure dont understand numbers. It be cheaper to pay undocumented immigrants $100,000 @ to leave our country not return than what they are doing now

So many farmers and poor people voted for Trump it would be interesting to see how the lack of immigrant labor and inflation would play out on those constituencies.

At the same time this is happening, drumpfs son, idiot Jr. got caught trying to import illegal Mexicans to work at Drumpf winery.
Agri-business will be so fucked over if all illegals are deported and their usual migrant workers aren't allowed in to the country to help pick crops. Sad thing is reality won't hit him because he just doesn't care about anyone except himself. However, some rich people, like the Kochs for example, ganging up on him for hurting their businesses would sting the party and hard.
