Trump Says His Admin's Deportation Enforcement Is A 'Military Operation'

Source: Talking Points Memo

By ESME CRIBB Published FEBRUARY 23, 2017, 11:46 AM EDT

President Donald Trump said on Thursday that his administration's enforcement of its deportation policy is "a military operation."

"All of a sudden for the first time we're getting gang members out, we're getting drug lords out, we're getting really bad dudes out of this country," Trump said during a listening session with manufacturing CEOs. "And it's a military operation because what has been allowed to come into our country."

He said that deportations are taking place "at a rate that nobody's ever seen before, and they're the bad ones."

"You see what's happening at the border," Trump said. "When you see gang violence that you've read about like never before, and all of the things, much of that is people who are here illegally. And they're rough, and they're tough, but they're not tough like our people, so we're getting them out."

Business Insider February 22, 2017

"During Obama's eight years in office, Immigration and Customs Enforcement deported over 3.1 million unauthorized immigrants. Most unauthorized immigrants who were apprehended inside of the country, not at the border, were convicted criminals, according to DHS.

In 2016, ICE officials removed 240,255 people, 58% of whom had criminal histories. Of the 65,332 people apprehended inside the country, 92% had been convicted of a crime, according to DHS statistics."

answers to tough questions with "Listen, bro..." I mean, I wouldn't be surprised.
I mean, people that ask him tough questions aren't allowed to ask any more questions, or attend his meetings afterwards.
Even Obama on his absolutely worst day in the history of ever was light years better than Trump is on his best day. But I guess dignity in the highest office of the land is a quaint idea who's time has passed. We'll never have another Kennedy. President Dwayne Elizondo Mountain Dew Herbert Camacho 2028!
Hell, at this point I'd take GWB back. At least he had a sense of humor.

Working parents picking up their kids from school? College students?
A line cook at the back of a fine dining restaurant working his third job?

These are really bad people...

BTW, I live in the hood, you ignorant M-F'er, and "gang violence" is less than a quarter of what it was during the 1980's. Most undocumented kids and adults I know just want to work and send money to take care of relatives who are having a tough time. Hell, most "gang members" I know are pretty decent so long as you treat them like people

The two times I was robbed/burgled were from neighborhood middle class white teens pretending they were tough. The three times I was either shot at or been near a shooting was due to natural born - at least 2nd generation - Americans.

Undocumented immigrants and refugees keep their heads down and work their asses off. It's bored or disaffected youth that cause all the crime. But that's not the shiney Drumpf wants the country to buy.

I refer to this farmer's dilemma, just one example of 45's far-reaching stupidity.

https://www.theguardian.com/world/2011/oct/14/alabama-immigration-law-workers

He is just one farmer. Multiply this by how many farmers there are in this country who depend on the labor provided by Mexicans and what it will do to the price of food. Since food will be so expensive, people will not spend money on a whole lot of things they could otherwise. The farmer's problem will extend to other businesses, etc., etc. They will, in turn be laying off workers because fewer people have less buying power because eating comes first.

Wait---I thought 45 was going to be the great jobs maker because he has such a great brain, he's a business man and so successful.

I really need some work done on my house; thinking of delaying it now.
