Another Cabinet Pick with Secret Ties to Putin and Oligarchs

Source: DCReport.org

A study prepared exclusively for DCReport.org by James S. Henry reveals deep financial ties between Donald Trumps nominee for Commerce secretary, Wilbur Ross, and three Russian oligarchs, whose lives and fortunes depend on staying in the good graces of Vladimir Putin.

These connections raise many new questions about Trumps reliance on the Putin regime, which all 17 U.S. intelligence agencies say interfered in the presidential election on Trumps behalf, but which Trump disputes.

These relationships between nominee Ross and the oligarchs involve ownership and management of a European bank with a reputation for laundering Russian money and making bad loans.

The study also compared flight records of Trumps campaign plane and a plane used by one of the oligarchs. During the campaign, the two planes often were at the same airports at the same time.

Wilbur Ross Comes to D.C. With an Unexamined History of Russian Connections

https://www.dcreport.org/wilbur-ross-comes-to-d-c-with-a-long-and-profitable-history-of-russian-connections/?preview_id944

A very small excerpt of that very long report, this one about the odd flight patterns of an oligarch-owed plane, which various people on Twitter including Louise Mensch have been noticing for a while:

[div class"excerpt"]For our purposes, the intriguing thing is that this plane, normally based in Moscow and Switzerland, can be tracked. According the flight logs available from FlightRadar24, it made numerous flights all over the U.S. from August 2016 through November 2016, the peak season for the U.S. 2016 Presidential campaign of course right at the moment when Moscow was supposedly trying to jack the election on Trumps behalf.

Moreover, in at least three cases, Airbus A319M-KATE showed up at very same airports, where candidate Trump was in the North Carolina cities of Charlotte and Concord and in Las Vegas, for example. Indeed, in the case of Charlotte, local photographers took pictures of M-KATE and the Trump campaign jet at the very same airport on November 3, 2016. During a presidential campaign close aides often arrive before and after the candidate, times that overlap with the Rybolovlev jet in several cities.

-snip-

Indeed, earlier this month on Friday, Feb. 10 2017 Rybolovlevs Airbus A319 M-KATE flew all the way from Switzerland to Miami. That airport is near where the White House said that the president was partying with hedge fund mogul Steven Schwartzman in Palm Beach on Saturday night. Rybolovlevs jet returned to Switzerland on February 12, flight records show.

-snip-

Why would Rybolovlevs plane scurry back and forth from Moscow to odd destinations like Charlotte and Concord, as well as to Las Vegas, New York, Burbank, and Miami, to arrive there precisely when Trump was there? The obvious question: was Rybolovlev a Putin emissary?

WHEN will the other branches of government step in and put a stop to this? Are we being taken over by Russia? Who would've thought it in our country?

It's going to take a lot of purging to get this under control, and I'm afraid it may come to a war or two before that happens.

Sat Feb 25, 2017, 04:34 PM
Feb 2017

Confirmation came on a tight 12-11 party line vote.

If Sen. Collins had voted against confirmation of DeVos by the Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor and Pensions, it would have meant that DeVos would NOT have become Trump's Education Secretary.

As far as the Senate Intelligence Committee requesting the release of Trump's tax returns,
(from your link)
Collins did say "she is open to requesting Trump's tax returns as part of the panel's ongoing investigation,"
however, as far as I know, no other Republican on that committee has expressed such a desire.....so, (sigh..) don't hold your breath for THAT to happen.

Your implication there is that more than one Republican has been "working towards the goal" of seeing Trump's tax returns, which is false.

If, on the other hand, you'd said
"Dems and at least one Republican seem to been working towards that goal" the only problem would have been your bad grammar ("seem to been working towards that goal"?)

..I wish that what you had originally posted was true...that Democrats and Republicans (plural) on the Intelligence Committee actually DO want to see Trump's tax returns.

(From the TPM article link I posted in my last reply)
According to SCCI Vice-Chairman Sen. Mark Warner (D-VA)
"I will not accept any process that is undermined by political interference," Warner said.
"If SCCI cannot properly conduct an independent investigation, I will support empowering whoever can do it right."

We ARE "on the same side," but we need to get our facts straight, don't we?

when you populate your Twitter feed with people like David Johnson, you can watch him and some others posting fantastic stuff about Trump and his handlers.
Right now there is focus on how Trump's casinos back in the 90's were laundering immense amounts of Russian mob cash, and how mobsters bought condos from Trump, at very high prices. Some of the figures involved ( Sater, Manafort, etc) live just a couple stories below Trump in the Tower.

Feb 2017

... and this was at the top of the search page:

"It turns out that the aircraft belongs to a company called Sophar Property Holding BVI (British Virgin Islands, I believe). The history of this company is somewhat mysterious, because some years ago it was bought by the Russian potash mining company called Uralkali, the head of Uralkali being a Russian oligarch called Dmitry Rybolovlev. At the time that it was bought, its only assets were an option to buy two private jets: a much smaller Falcon and this A319."

<snip>

"Mr Rybolovlev appears to be another of the eastern European rich people who like to acquire Football clubs in Europe: he was at the head of a consortium which bought a controlling interest im Monaco FC last year. Another Russion, Roman Abramovich, has long owned Chelsea FC, and will have a prime seat for the European Champions League final shortly. Other East European adventurers have been less successful, including in Switzerland (Neuchatel Xamax!)."

Remember the Black Sites run by the CIA,well this web site exposed the Aircraft used to ferry Prisoners to and from these Torture Prisons all as a result of volunteers monitoring Airports photographing Planes and keeping track of their Tail Numbers. And that started as a result of a tip by someone inside a security agency concerned about laws being broken as to Torture.
