CONGRESS SENDS TRUMP DRUG TEST MEASURE FOR UNEMPLOYED

Source: KMRG, Fox News, High Times

WASHINGTON - The Senate on Tuesday sent President Donald Trump a measure to expand the number of applicants for jobless benefits who can be drug-tested.

The White House has said Trump will sign the measure into law as a cancellation of "unnecessary regulations."

Lawmakers in the GOP-controlled Congress have complained that under President Barack Obama, the government placed too many limits on states for deciding which unemployment applicants can be drug-tested. The Labor Department's regulation meant that states could only test applicants for unemployment benefits who do jobs that require drug testing. The resolution passed by the House and approved by the Senate 51-48 on Tuesday would cancel those limits.

I hadn't heard that. I knew that some dark red states were requiring welfare recipients to be drug tested. But people who have been laid off? What's the point of that?

be a factor in your dismissal, like cops, drivers etc.. It's a way of firing you for cause which means you could not claim benefits. I imagine it is a law that could be abused. Now it will be.

I think all presidents should be tested for drugs as a routine test. I've long thought that Trump is a cocaine user. He shows lots of symptoms: short attention span, overconfidence, paranoia, delusions, etc. A cocaine druggie making high-level security decisions makes me shudder!

The lying was the worst though. The constant lies. And the lack of self-reflection.

including for TN Congresswoman Diane Black, whose husband is founder and CEO of Aegis drug testing labs.

"Rep. Diane Black and her husband held assets in 2013 potentially worth $147 million, according to a financial disclosure form made public this month.

Black, R-Gallatin, listed 115 assets held by her and her husband, David Black. They were valued between $32 million and $146.9 million.
That compares with their 2012 range of $34.4 million to $142.19 million, according to the Center for Responsive Politics, a watchdog group.
Members of Congress have to disclose assets and liabilities only in broad dollar ranges. They also don't have to list the value of their primary residence or automobiles.
Among the Blacks' assets were numerous properties in Nashville, including three valued at between $5 million to $25 million apiece — 365 Great Circle Road, 501 Great Circle Road and 515 Great Circle Road.
The latter is the address of Aegis Sciences Corp., which does drug testing for businesses and athletes, as well as prenatal and forensic testing. David Black is the founder and chairman of the company.
The couple held numerous investment accounts, including stakes in companies such as Wal-Mart, Schlumberger, Occidental Petroleum, Johnson & Johnson, Caterpillar, Walgreens, Comcast, Dell, Google, eBay, Target, Pepsico, Microsoft and AFLAC.
Black also listed 103 transactions related to the investments.
For liabilities, she listed three mortgages, two of which were valued at $5 million to $25 million apiece. The third was between $1 million and $5 million.

For 2012, Black ranked as the 25th wealthiest of 535 members of Congress, according to Congressional Quarterly. The Center for Responsive Politics ranked her as the 8th wealthiest member of the U.S. House for 2012."
