Rand Paul Says Ryancare Is A Bailout For The Insurance Industry

Source: Face the Nation

Ryancare – doesn’t exactly repeal the individual mandate outright. Instead, Ryancare forces individuals to pay a 30% increase directly to the insurance companies if their coverage lapses. Rand Paul is diametrically opposed to this corporate welfare and has labeled the new individual mandate as a bailout for the insurance industry.

So, let's get this straight.... The Insurance Co. backstops that would have strengthened the ACA, that were left unfunded by Marco Rubio and the GOP Reps, to weaken the ACA and Obama's attempt to cover every American, are now planted firmly inside Trumpcare or Ryancare? ( As much as I detest him daily) Good on Rand Paul to call them out on their hypocrisy.

Yes, libertarians are the stopped clocks that tell the
right time twice a day, but right wing sources are
generally not allowed.

Can you find a link from the mainstream media?

He said this on "Face the Nation". I do not like Rand Paul or his political views. I was simply demonstrating the hypocrisy that is buried within the Ryancare/ DonTCare legislation and that one of their own was exposing it. Mandates, Rate corridors, backstops, things that worked under #43's Medicare Part D law are all of a sudden thrown out and defunded under the ACA but reappear in Ryan's AHCA.

not medical professionals, not hospitals, not loss of thousands & thousands of medical jobs.

All Republicans care about are the 3 or 4 huge, "for profit" Insurance Corporations. "for profit" corporations who by the way, have stock that does great ALL the time.
