Ryan: We Didn't Learn Anything New From Comey Hearing

Source: Talking Points Memo

By CAITLIN MACNEAL Published MARCH 21, 2017, 11:04 AM EDT

House Speaker Paul Ryan (R-WI) on Tuesday said that he did not learn anything "new" from FBI Director James Comey's testimony about Russian interference in the U.S. election. He also reiterated that he has not seen any evidence indicating that President Donald Trump's campaign colluded with Russian government officials.

"I don’t think we learned anything new yesterday with Comey's testimony," Ryan said at a press briefing.

He noted that the House Intelligence Committee was still investigating Russia's attempts to influence the 2016 election, but he said that he has not seen evidence yet linking the Trump campaign to Russia.

"It is very clear that we’ve seen no evidence and have been presented with no evidence that Donald Trump or his staff were involved in this with the Russians," he said.

Since you haven't learned anything new since you read Ayn Rand's sophomoric novel Atlas Shrugged.

We can never look to the likes of Paul Ryan, or Rancid Penis, or Lyin Ted for intellectual guidance. Among them, they have the brain power of 100 men. Brain diseased men, but men nonetheless.

He already knows the crimes because he was in on it. The turtles smugness before the election shows me the whole congressional leadership was in on it. If they get their boy on the court it's game, set and match. If they get in trouble they'll just go to the Supremes.

"We" didn't learn anything new refers to the people who already knew everything there was to know. Because they're complicit, and there are many of them.

of the Con's camp started well in advance of our 2016 election, July to be exact; no evidence of ANY wrongdoing on President Obama's part in ANY surveillance or that he "wire tapped" the Con or anyone in the Con's camp; that the ru$$ians wanted the Con vs our Hillary and worked with wikileaks to hide their being the ones that stole the information.

there's more, but that's a start.............so lyin ryan knew all of this apparently?

I read her when she was popular 35 years ago. Seemed like everyone loved her for a while. From the first book, I thought she is a stone cold person. Her stories were interesting and well written, but her philosophy was , To the Selfish go the Spoils.
One of my liberal friends in was really into her at the time, but she always went with the wind.

Atlas Shrugged and The Fountainhead in the early 90's, and found them both cringeworthy and dangerous. I think that people (like Paul Ryan and Alan Greenspan) who like and espouse this dreck are just looking for a justifying philosophy for their innate cravenness.

Not to mention that "The Fountainhead" is by far my least favorite Gary Cooper movie. And I really like Gary Cooper.

Also, I might add that what made me seek out those books was seeing Bryant Gumbel on the "Today" show say that Atlas Shrugged changed his life. I never looked at him the same after that, but it did explain some feelings I had about him... Nuf said.
