Utah man among British terror victims; ISIS claims responsibility

Source: USA Today

LONDON — A Utah man was among the victims of the assailant who killed three people and injured dozens more in an attack near Parliament, his family said Thursday.

Kurt Cochran and his wife Melissa, who was hospitalized with serious injuries after the attack, had traveled to London to celebrate their 25th wedding anniversary, the family said. Police say a man drove a car into a crowd on a bridge Wednesday, then fatally stabbed a police officer outside Parliament.

The Islamic State claimed responsibility for the attack through its Aamaq News Agency and called the assailant, who was shot dead by police, a "soldier of the Islamic State." The claim couldn't immediately be verified.

Prime Minister Theresa May said Thursday.was British-born and known to security officers. She said the man had been investigated by MI5, the domestic security agency, "some years ago" regarding concerns about violent extremism. "He was a peripheral figure. The case is historic — he was not part of the current intelligence picture," she said, adding that there was "no prior intelligence of his intent or of the plot."

Sadly, a perfect distraction op for tRump to pivot to, as predicted by his tweet earlier suggesting that everyone's paying more attention to London. Now he can puff up his self-righteous Commander in Chief attitude.

How sad for the victim Kurt Cochran's family... 25th wedding anniversary celebration...

Then it needs to be pointed out that that plan to defeat ISIS in 30 days of taking office never happened. Never even talked about. Just a muslim ban. That's not defeating ISIS. A failed military mission that killed a SEAL and many civilians. Doesn't seem like that hurt ISIS at all.

But the brain dead Trump zombies will be all over this and scream that this should be the focus and not the Russian lies!

want to wrap himself in what happened in London. His Muslim ban nor the airline stuff would have stopped it. The terrorist was British born.

They're responsible for keeping security authorities updated with phone and web addresses. If they're deceptive even once, deport them.
