GOP lawmakers say ObamaCare repeal vote may be delayed

Source: The Hill

The House may delay its vote on the GOP's ObamaCare replacement plan until Friday or next week, several lawmakers said.

"It didn't look like today was going to be when we're going to vote," said Rep. Phil Roe (R-Tenn.) after leaving a meeting with committee chairs and House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.), who controls the House floor schedule.

Roe said a vote may come Friday.

The vote on the healthcare bill was originally planned for Thursday, the seven-year anniversary of the day ObamaCare was signed into law.

Funny last year the same group would have voted in lockstep knowing Obama would veto it IF it ever passed the Senate.
Makes the fact the Democrats found a way to hold together and get the ACA passed in the first place even more amazing.

"last year the same group would have voted in lockstep knowing Obama would veto it IF it ever passed the Senate."

All those votes were fake because they knew Obama would veto the bills.

Voting for bills they know won't become law is a scam Republicans (and Democrats occasionally) play
on their constituents.

White House press secretary Sean Spicer said he expected the House would vote on the American Health Care Act Thursday night.

Reuters’ Jeff Mason asked Spicer at his daily press briefing if he expected there would be a vote on the bill “tonight.”

“That’s what I understand is the House’s schedule, yes,” he responded.

“Any chance that that’s going to be pushed back?” Mason asked.

“That would be obviously up to Speaker Ryan and Leader McCarthy, but nothing leads me to believe that’s the case,” Spicer said.

John Boener is right. They will never be on the same page because that party is fractured.

Trump's threats and goons will not matter.

And if by some damn miracle that they do get the votes to pass this monstrosity, it will guarantee a democratic tsunami in 18 and 20.
