Italian court: No rape happened since woman didn't scream
Updated 4:31 pm, Thursday, March 23, 2017

ROME (AP) — Italy's justice minister has reportedly asked officials to look into a case in which a court acquitted a man of raping a woman because she didn't scream.

The Italian news agency ANSA said Thursday that Minister Andrea Orlandohas asked ministry inspectors to begin checking into the case.

ANSA said a court in Turin had ruled last month that the woman's saying "Enough!" to her colleague who allegedly raped her constituted too weak a reaction to prove that she was sexually attacked. The ruling specified she didn't scream or ask for help.

Center-right Forza Italia opposition lawmaker Annagrazia Calabria decried the ruling, saying, "Certainly, you cannot punish the personal reaction of a woman terrified by what is happening to her."

and said the Italian men were constantly grabbing/pinching their butts and coming on to them in public.

Evidently Italian men are major league assh*les.

I have you say, you're pretty correct in your assessment. We're obviously not all pigs, but there are plenty about, especially in Rome.

If you're accompanied by a man, no problem. But if you're alone or with other women, look out.

Seems more people would grasp the thought if someone is determined enough to attack a woman, he isn't going to be shy about killing her, too, in his fit of violence.

Invariably, as far as too many men are concerned, rape is entirely the woman's fault.

As are all the abortions and children born out of wedlock, apparently.
