Trump unhappy Jared Kushner took a powder on the ski slopes as health care bill floundered

Source: CNN

While the rest of his senior staff scrambled all day Thursday and Friday morning to squeeze votes for President Trump's flailing health care package, one person remained notably absent: Jared Kushner.

Along with this wife, Ivanka Trump, another key cog in the president's inner circle, Kushner was on vacation, skiing with family in the posh Colorado town of Aspen. Paparazzi caught Jared and Ivanka taking leisurely strolls, enjoying ice cream cones with their three kids and winding their way down the slopes.

Meanwhile, back in Washington, Trump was fuming. According to a source close to the president, "[Trump] is upset that his son-in-law and senior adviser was not around during this crucial week."

...

Kushner's plan to stay out-of-office this week while the health care package faltered could mean he'll get some of the blame from his father-in-law. Trump is reportedly already pointing fingers at his top staffers for what he considers shoddy support. Or, Kushner could perhaps avoid the entire debacle; the Orthodox Jew typically stays away from work after sundown on Fridays. We've asked the White House if Kushner will be back to work at his office by Monday -- so far, no word.

shouldn't be allowed to breed.
Some of the uber rich, particularly those who did not work for it, but were born into it, see a class structure, probably ordained by God, where the good are at the top, and the shifless are at the bottom. It is destiny, God's will. A few would still have slaves, if they could. Most have servants, hired help for what the rest of us spend our non paid work hours doing. They do actually buy time, by having others take care of things that save them time.

They see themselves as blessed and fortunate. They don't even get the concept of the working poor. They believe people who are poor are lazy, shifless "takers," and "moochers."

I was Arguing w my dentist this week. He sees it as the left hating anyone w money. I said, no, it comes dowm to DISPOSABLE INCOME.
If one set of workers do not have disposable income for their kids' shoes or medicine, and the top 1pc have so much disposable income, they can't buy more yaughts or mansions, there needs to be a tax adjustment.

actually indicate? WHY weren't they there, knowing Rump would be displeased?

Perhaps the Kushners do not really support destroying the ACA, saw disaster coming, and found no good way they could steer it to anything they cared to support. Or perhaps they're just distancing themselves from a hopeless loss and hoping Bannon, Ryan, McConnell, Tom Price, others will end up blamed for it.

Btw, according to Salon, Breitbart and wingnuts radio are focusing their Trumpcare rage on Tom Price.

This makes Trump look like he lacks leadership skills. Why would Jared Kushner take his family on vacation during this week? This is definitely a week where he was needed at work. This makes Trump look bad in that Trump should have been able to get Kushner to show up for work this week. It seems a good strong leader would have been able to either force or convince Kushner to show up for work this week.
