In the video, Priorities USA Action used archive images from the opening ceremony of the 2002 Salt Lake City Winter Olympics that Romney ran and is credited with saving from bankruptcy.

(39 posts)Yup. The headline remains incorrect. The use of "Democrat" instead of "Democratic" is grammatically incorrect and is used by Republicans as a slap in the face to our party. Juvenile yes, but a slap just the same. Democrats would/should never use it.

AFP may not know, or place emphasis on, the nuances between "Democrat" and "Democratic" usages here in the US.

(8,401 posts)Like it or not, and grammatically correct or not, this construction (i.e., "Democrat" instead of "Democratic" has slipped into widespread, popular usage. So perhaps we need to refrain from being too quick to jump on every single instance in which it is used; especially when, as here, the intent was benign.

(20,450 posts)it to go unchallenged. Every time I hear some Republican use the prejorative and the Democrat or so-called liberal pundit doesn't correct the Republican, I go crazy! We can say what we will about Chris Matthews, but he is the ONLY pundit that I know of that corrects the prejorative each and every time a ReTHUG utters that crap.
