Candidate's Joke: Thanks Storm for Keeping Biden Away

Source: abc news

Republican Texas Senate candidate Ted Cruz tried to make a joke at the expense of Tropical Storm Isaac, counting it among his "blessings" that the storm kept Vice President Joe Biden from campaigning in Tampa during the Republican National Convention.

"We have so many things to be thankful for. So many blessings, including even we can be thankful for Hurricane Isaac. If nothing else, it kept Joe Biden away," Cruz said Sunday at a rally organized by the Faith and Freedom Coalition.

Biden planned on bracketing the convention with stops in Tampa Monday and Orlando and St. Augustine Tuesday, but postponed his trip so that resources would be focused on managing the impact of the storm.

will be used against them once that fucker hits land.

Would have been ok, if Isaac had left the entire country alone, but it's gonna hit and cause problems. That sound bite won't be so funny then.

plus it makes them sound kind of afraid of Joe Biden.

GOP's move to suppress voters, allowed the primaries to be moved from early March to late July; just what Cruz needed to get the nomination.

R-Cruz and D-Sadler will have a Senatorial debate in Texas on October 2, on ABC television network.

Seems like Texas is bleeding red these days.

Oh so blessed are 'we', if by 'we' he means the exceptional American gop con attendees.

He could have just given thanks for Joe's consideration of societal needs by not wanting to pull services from an area that could need them during a disaster. (And by disaster, I mean the gop con)

Their arrogance and sense of entitlement continue to be on full display.

After all, the baby Jeebus and his Big Daddy only love them and everyone else can go to...well, that really hot place.

I keep on affirming: the light of comprehension of What the Repukes Are Really About continues to turn on in more and more heads.
