In fiery speech, Giuliani calls on Obama to resign, faults him for Libya

Source: CNN

(CNN) - Not long after taking a few seconds of silence for those affected by Superstorm Sandy, Rudy Giuliani began ripping into President Barack Obama on Friday while speaking at major campaign event for Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan in Ohio.

The former New York City mayor delivered a series of blistering zingers against the president, rallying the massive crowd with line after line of reasons why Obama should "resign" and faulting him for "incompetence" over the Libya consulate attacks.

With new numbers showing the unemployment rate had ticked up to 7.9%, Giuliani said the Obama administration should be "ashamed of themselves" for framing the figure as a positive sign. Giuliani, however, did not mention that 171,000 jobs were added last month–more than economists were expecting.

"He should resign! He told us he would resign if he did this poorly," Giuliani said, referring to a 2009 interview in which Obama vowed to turn the economy around in three years, otherwise there would be a "one-term proposition."

Giuliani is not an idiot, he is not really an extreme ideologue, he must know that after the debale of 08 any major (an dprobably not so major as well) political ambitions are out of his reach, so why the hell does he do crazy so often??? Not always; I;ve seen him not too long ago in an interview, I don't remember the details, but most of the things he said and how he said them reminded me of the Giuliani I did not dislike too much once upon a time.

Lately, on his radio show, Thom Hartmann has been mentioning that when Republicans
appear on his program, '...they get paid. When he goes on Faux (or some other seditionist,
sectarian, suck-a$$ news program), nobody pays him. He does it for free.'

Money, career advancement, quid pro quo, those are all good inducements to get people
to do surprisingly awful things.

Oops

Edit -- Thom didn't pile on the adjectives describing Faux. Shouldn't have put those words
inside the single quotes. Added parentheses.

Rudy wants to fault Obama's handling on Libya, but he had precious little to say about Bush failing to read the "Bin Laden Determined to Strike Within the U.S." PDB, or Bush's later failure to get Bin Laden (and instead focusing on lying us into Iraq)

Giuliani has no credibility on foreign policy.

Sat Nov 3, 2012, 02:25 AM
Nov 2012

this was planned bullshit from the git-go (and so were the attacks uh, 9-11) HERE'S HOW & WHY.....

Even though Secretary of State Hillary Clinton begged the republicans in congress not to cut funding...Knowing the funding was critical for Libya the republicans set this up....and set up the rest (but it's not flying except 24/7 on Fox and using lying fuckers like republican whores Guliani).

The republicans had a back up plan if they lost the presidency, they know now they are going to lose so they want a bullshit "independent" council to investigate after the elections....like with president Clinton, to weaken (Obama) taking up years & tens of millions of dollars (remember republican Ken Starr)

This is a long planned ace in the hole back-up plan for republicans if Obama won, the republicans will try to tie up Obama's agenda with some bullshit partisan republican 'independent council'....It worked before with Clinton!!

There's nothing there, just like there wasn't with Whitewater same old republican tactics - but republicans will wait it out for years with Obama to weaken him until something pops - Like Monica Lewinsky with Clinton....

Did you expect less from the slimy republicans - This is plan bullshit - but this time it aint gonna fly!!!!

35. George W. Bush, Rudy Giuliani, and Mitt Romney
Sat Nov 3, 2012, 03:49 AM
Nov 2012

Considering 9/11 happened on both George W. Bush's and Rudy Guiliani's watch, Guiliani should not be calling on President Obama to resign. The 9/11 attacks were far more devastating than the Libya attacks. They were made made even worse by the fact that Guiliani would not listen to intelligence officials and did no give New York firefighters the equipment they needed.

First, Guiliani was warned not to put his command center in the World Trade Center in that it was a target for terrorist attack. If there was an actual terrorist attack at the World Trade Center he would have trouble conducting a response. Second, Guiliani did not give New York Firefighters the radioes they needed which caused them not to be able to communicate Ayer the attack. So, someone can ask the question why did Guiliani not resign and call for the resignation of George W. Bush.

As far as Mitt Romney's success at Bain Capital, how many job were created while Romney was at Bain Capital? After that, how many jobs were created while Romney was governor of Massachusetts?

Rudy Guiliani should not be calling for President Obamamto resign. I guess Guiliani's new mantra is if you cannot beat them call on them to resign.

Aide: Reagan Left Marines Vulnerable in Beirut
http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,183262,00.html

A former defense secretary for Ronald Reagan says he implored the president to put Marines serving in Beirut in a safer position before terrorists attacked them in 1983, killing 241 servicemen.

"I was not persuasive enough to persuade the president that the Marines were there on an impossible mission," Caspar Weinberger says in an oral history project ... "They had no mission but to sit at the airport, which is just like sitting in a bull's-eye," Weinberger said. "I begged the president at least to pull them back and put them back on their transports as a more defensible position."
