Former Mitt Romney adviser Dan Senor conceded that in the aftermath of President Obama’s re-election, Republicans can’t start every economic debate insisting on lower tax rates and must do a “better job of thinking through how to talk about middle class economics.”

“We have to spend meaningful time over the next several years developing a policy agenda that reflects our principles but is modernized,” he said during an appearance Wednesday on MSNBC’s Morning Joe. “Unless we address the core issue of middle class economics with innovative ideas,” Republicans will continue to struggle in future elections.

Senor also agreed that Republicans must tackle immigration reform, arguing that the party “has been suffering on the issue of immigration for years.” “I think the problem transcends Mitt Romney. I don’t think his position helped the Republcian problem, but I think it predates him.”
Since the election, several prominent Republicans have called on the GOP to lead on the issue, though they remain split on whether to tackle the problem in a single comprehensive reform or piecemeal.

3. The message for lower tax rates needs to be nullified.

By educating the voters about the truth. It isn't about lowering the tax rates for everyone. It is intended primarily for the rich.

And that those taxes provides the services that the voters receive. Whether they are direct or indirect services. There are some that it is mostly the business that benefits with bigger bonuses with little benefit to the consumer and to very few consumers.

We could lower taxes but what are the consequences? Higher prices, less production when consumers don't buy, less innovation, fewer jobs, etc. Public safety becomes an issue on so many levels. There are other ways citizens can lower their taxes. Move to areas that have no or lower property taxes and local govt taxes. Move out to the boonies in never never land away from police and fire protection services. Away from good schools. Away from nearby businesses that receive tax abatements paid with your local taxes.

Not once, but twice Powell admonished Romney to "think". With advisors like Dan Senor doing Romney's thinking for him is there any wonder people came down on Romney so hard in the "thinking" department. That was certainly on display when Romney famously said "whatever it is that I said, I stand by it". That was Palin league.

The faux news flock follow like cattle responding to the prod. They vote against their own best interests. It is not just them, it is the crazies in congress and senate. It is the 1%.

Our water, air, food, is systematically being poisoned. Climate Change is here. The big banks are going to run us right back into the ground. This will happen if the deregulation that they are calling for comes about.

In the end it is the passion of the Rich to own the world, they will deliver their "cattle" to the slaughterhouse...along with the rest of us.

What the Rich and the lawmakers don't seem to understand is that the almighty dollar will not save them from a changing climate, poisoned food et all. They breath what we do...they eat what we eat, they drink our water.

The rich are the job creators.

But if you can't find a job, it's your own fault. Tough luck.

So, how can a poor person who has no money create a job if the rich are the job creators and pretty much the only people capable of creating jobs?

Our most critical problem is our deficit. So let's reduce taxes for the rich and lower tax revenues while we are at it.

My logical response to them: We need to invest in our domestic economy to create jobs. If the rich wanted to create jobs, they could, but they have shown over the past nine years that that is not what they want to do. Cutting their taxes makes no sense. Raising their taxes and investing the increased tax revenues in public projects will create the jobs where we need them -- right here in the U.S.

It goes on and on. Per Republicans, single mothers are immoral and lazy. On the other hand Republicans but want to let women have birth control or abortion. It's wrong for a woman to bear a child she can't take care of, but it's wrong to prevent the birth also. Men, of course, not even rapists, are responsible in any way.

Marriage is sacred and defined as between a man and a woman. But the divorce rates in Republican states are generally higher than those in very Democratic states.

Republicans are tough on crime but insist that everyone should be able to carry a gun and think that killers who claim they killed in self-defense should not bear much of a burden to prove their claim.

The Republican Party is not even trying to make sense these days. All they want is to grab money for themselves.
