Ronna McDaniel joins NBC News as contributor
Source: The Hill
Ronna McDaniel, the former head of the Republican National Committee (RNC), will join NBC News as a contributor.
McDaniel will appear on Meet The Press this Sunday, giving her first interview since resigning as head of the RNC earlier this year.
McDaniel is expected to be featured as part of election coverage on NBC and on the networks sister cable channel, MSNBC.
It couldnt be a more important moment to have a voice like Ronnas on the team, Carrie Budoff Brown, who leads political coverage at NBC, wrote in a memo shared with The New York Times.

(70,505 posts)She might do more damage @ NBC then @ the RNC pushing lies and Russian
misinformation. Didnt she push Trumps big lie about the 2000 election?

(129,013 posts)but we know they are all over the other cable news stations. She certainly wasn't going to be a "host".

(9,372 posts)In fact, they rely on pundits more than MSNBC does. If you look at the Fox website, they have daily "news" stories dredged from pundits just to make a story out of it. Another reason why Fox isn't journalism.

(1,557 posts)They're supposed to have a bias for truth.
They are hiring someone known for supporting distortions and lies.
They are complicit.
Reminds me of when CNN hired republican Rick Santorum who was KNOWN for making denigrating statements and lying who CNN then fired for making denigrating statements. It. Makes. No. Sense!

(9,372 posts)If she does, that would be something. The fact he ousted her from the RNC would be a great motive. But then, too many Repughs have been Donald mouthpieces. But I'm waiting to see what happens here.

(111,261 posts)She's a rich kid who grew up without any reson to question any of the Republican boilerplate she heard during her childhood.
In fact, I doubt the woman has ever questioned anything or anyone in her whole life. Daddy knew best, you know, he had all the money.
She's only going to be useful as the mouthpiece of the plutocray and increasing numbers of American workers are not going to give a shit about what the plutocracy wants. They're starting to ask "where's mine?" and that's a healthy thing.
She won't be a draw, she won't have any insights, and people will start to swich the channel when she turns up. That's why she won't last long.

(6,855 posts)Ever since Tim Russert died, it has gone downhill fast. I haven't watched it in several years, and only barely watched when Chuck Toad (again, I did that intentionally) was the host. When Russert did it, I was a regular viewer, but not anymore.
