Daimler To Announce Investment In U.S. Plant As Obama Visits

German automaker Daimler will announce increased investment in a Michigan plant on Monday, the same day President Obama visits the facility, the Detroit Free Press reported:

The White House said the investment is expected to be $100 million or more and, with it, Daimler Trucks North America will become the first heavy-duty vehicle equipment manufacturer on the continent to build a fully integrated powertrain from on production facility.

Additional details were expected to be announced later today. Detroit Diesel is a leading manufacturer or engines for heavy-duty trucks and traces its history back to 1938. It has recently added new lines of axles and automated manual transmission to its product line.

422 American Billionaires and over 4 million American millionaires are waiting to see what Congress does with the so called fiscal cliff before they spend their profits. Meanwhile foreign investors are deciding to spend their money in America. American investors should be ashamed of themselves. And Obama is deciding to give this Foreignor a tax incentive to create jobs.

No doubt the Germans are investing here in part because of the low tax rates we require them to pay.
