Fox News' Credibility At 'Record Low': PPP Poll

Source: Huffington Post

Fox News' credibility has fallen 9 percent in the past two years, according to new Public Policy Polling (PPP) results released on Wednesday.

The annual poll asks participants to rate their trust in multiple networks including Fox News, MSNBC, CNN, PBS, Comedy Central, ABC News, CBS News and NBC News. According to PPP's press release:

Just like its actual ratings, Fox News has hit a record low in the four years that we've been doing this poll. 41% of voters trust it to 46% who do not. To put those numbers into some perspective the first time we did this poll, in 2010, 49% of voters trusted it to 37% who did not.

Just like last year, researchers also found that Fox News is both the least trusted and most trusted network when compared to the other networks in the survey. Thirty-four percent said they trust Fox News the most, while 39 percent said they trust it the least.

25%. That's your number. Remember, the IQ is built around an average of 100. 50% are above, 50% are below, and of course, half of those are really below.

This media outlet has no objective news standards. It is a money making venture generating income from a specific target market segment that either doesn't know or doesn't care if the shit they transmit has anything to do with reality. This corporation doesn't report news, it feeds hate and hate groups.

And other than that one trustworthy network, Faux was trusted about the same as the others.

That is a more important finding than the fact that Faux has slid. ALL commercial networks are distrusted. And for good reason.

Thu Feb 7, 2013, 02:33 PM
Feb 2013

Is how the 4th estate had surrendered their status as the 4th estate and have become the mouth piece for one of the political parties so rather than measuring trust it measures party affiliation. No surprise their. The only surprise in there was Comedy Central where maybe it did measure trust rather than party affiliation or not enough watch it for the number to be accurate. The poll did look to over measure older people that are more white and more liberal than the general population.

It has both very Democratic and very Republican hosts on different shows. The evening shows are more Democratic. The rest of the day it's more Republican toward half/half.

CNN is Republican for the most part with a few Democrats. Same for the rest of the networks.

It is Democratic-leaning in the evening. That is left of the Republicans, but not left in terms of the world.

It explains the difference between Fox News and MSNBC from the point of view of a reporter who tries to report the facts presenting more than one opinion on an issue regardless of his personal issue. He explains why, in terms of the strategies and principles of the news reporting, Fox News is not at all as objective in its reporting as is MSNBC.
