Theres a new TV show out there for those who want to follow the lighter side of beltway drama on the small screen.
Washingtonians recently got to enjoy yet another D.C.-based show, this time with Amazon.coms Alpha House, which was one of 14 pilots viewers voted on in a contest to see which ones would get a full season.
Alpha House stars John Goodman, Clark Johnson, Mark Consuelos and Matt Malloy as four Republican senators living as roommates, and a source involved with the show tells POLITICO that Amazon has picked the show as one of the projects it will move forward with following the shows positive reception. The show will begin shooting 12 more episodes beginning this year in New York City and Washington, D.C.
The comedy is the creation of Doonesburys Garry Trudeau and includes Bloomberg View columnist Jonathan Alter as an executive producer.
