Anthony Weiner stands by spokeswoman who went on rant calling ex-intern a 'f--king slutbag', a 'tw-t

Source: NY Post

Anthony Weiner’s foulmouthed flack Tweeted a mea culpa today — posting a photo of ‘swear jar” crammed with $100 bills and a Visa credit card after she blasted a former campaign intern as a “slutbag” and a “c-nt.”

“Not my best day yesterday,” Morgan wrote in the Twitter post. “Should’ve know better, been better. Gotta pay up.”

The posting came after Morgan let loose an explicit, profanity-laced tirade against former Weiner intern Olivia Nuzzi, who wrote an article about her experience with the embattled campaign.

Weiner today said he is sticking with his potty-mouthed press secretary, telling reporters “You bet!” when asked if Morgan still had a job after her maniacal meltdown.

"The Weiner Campaign. Keepin' It Real."

From Wikipedia:

When Keeping It Real Goes Wrong – A documentary style sketch which serves as a cautionary tale about when not to "keep it real" (be completely honest). The sketch depicts events in which a character is just minding their business until someone else says or does something that the first character doesn't like. The character is given a choice: ignore the alleged provocation, or "keep it real" (get confrontational and be antagonistic with whomever provoked them), with the character going with the latter, all the while boasting about how they "keep it real." Eventually the character's decision backfires severely on them, thus ruining their life, while the person who provoked them is having the time of their life, and the character's friends shunning the character's choice to "keep it real".

Rigid die-hards don't get much done, don't make friends in their legislative chambers, and no one is inclined to "go to the mat" for them.

Even Ted Kennedy, the Liberal Lion of the Senate, knew when to cut the deal. I've just never seen Weiner's name on anything--he likes to talk, he apparently doesn't like to do the tough work of crafting legislation. All I've ever seen of him are news clips where he delivers clever repartee about issues--usually with FauxSnooze anchors ("Megyn, Megyn" comes to mind). That's not a resume for a legislator--that's more like a PR flak.

Granted, I am not from NYC, and I am an advocate of letting people pick their own politicians, good or bad. All politics IS local. He just never impressed me by his deeds. I knew by his words that he'd vote the right way, but I never saw any works that suggested he'd carry the ball down the field. More of a fan than a player, if you will...!

Didn't they BOTH deny it? It wasn't until things were a full-blown shit storm with the family's involved that they finally figured out that the truth was going to come out, eventually.

Clinton then went the Webster's Thesaurus route and decided to base his defense on the meaning of two and three letter words. i.e. 'sex' and 'is'.

Weiner has simply gone batshit crazy.

public office, let alone mayor of NYC. That was what made me pretty sure that he was batshit crazy. And now with all this other stuff coming out, he must be crazy. He's sure not the kind of guy that I believe capable of having the good judgement and critical thinking skills necessary to run one of the greatest cities on the planet.

As for the other one, Bill Clinton came into office when the dot.com bubble started to grow and left office just as it was starting to blow. He was lucky to inherit an economy that was going to be the 'service' economy? Remember that? I.T. and innovation and all that stuff. We were going to be doing all the world's record keeping and we would king of the intertubes (which lasted until corporate America decided India was the place for everything 'servicy'). But that's okay, gave us CAFTA/NAFTA, signed the repeal of Glass-Stegall, and took all them Cadillacs away from them deadbeat welfare mamas.

Bill's pecker is the least of what I feel Clinton's problems are/were/always will be.

he had some problems with fidelity and truth. Then the scandals didn't stop, --Paula Jones, Kathleen Willey-- so when Lewinsky came around, some people were just tired of it. Some were already so jaded they did not care. However, he was a serial cheater and lied about it which doesn't make him any better than Weiner in that regard except that Weiner did not cheat. Thing is, if Bill had access to social networks as they exist today, things would prob. have been worse.

Of course, this is all in regard to their personal behavior, not professional which is also open to debate but not one I am willing to participate in at this time.

Weiner participated in some internet flirting. The nature of the flirting was tawdry and probably personal and NOMB but last I checked he was not engaging in Craigslist hookups, trasnporting and cavorting with prostitutes nor were any policy decisions informed by his flirtations.

is hard to spin as sexist, while implying it was a man who said it makes being a sexist virtually a given.

They saw fit to give everyone else involved first and last name. It seems they were deliberate in leaving Ms Murphy's sex ambiguous in order to conflate Weiner with sexism.

I don't believe forgetting to add her first name or a title/prefix to "Murphy" was simply an editing mistake. Not from the NY Post.

Not my best day yesterday. Should've known better, been better. Gotta pay up

Weiner today said he is sticking with his potty-mouthed press secretary, telling reporters “You bet!” when asked if Morgan still had a job after her maniacal meltdown. “It’s a very tough job. Everyone who has ever worked for him understands the pressure she’s under,” a former Weiner staffer said of Morgan.

Morgan – who left a $105,000-a-year gig with the New Jersey Dept. of Education to work for Weiner -- started coming unwound last week, after she and others in camp Carlos Danger were blindsided by news that their candidate had continued having cyber sex with random women more than a year after he resigned Congress in disgrace.

Last week, an incensed Morgan called Post reporters and editors and unleashed several expletive-laden rants on Weiner’s behalf. She later said her curse-filled diatribes were “off the record.”

Yesterday, Morgan called Nuzzi a fame-hungry “bitch” who “sucked” at her job in a rant to TPM, a political website. She went on to call Nuzzi a “f-cking tw-at".

Women can be every bit as nasty and sexist as men, and there's no need to 'spin' any of that. It was quite clear to me that Morgan is a woman - kinda hard to miss it, really.
