Booker On Top In NJ Senate Primary, General Election, Quinnipiac University Poll Finds
Source: Quinnipiac College
Newark Mayor Cory Booker has a seemingly unbeatable lead in next week's Democratic Senate primary in New Jersey, with 54 percent of likely Democratic primary voters, according to a Quinnipiac University poll released today.
U.S. Rep. Frank Pallone has 17 percent of likely voters, with 15 percent for U.S. Rep. Rush Holt and 5 percent for State Assembly Speaker Sheila Oliver. Only 8 percent of voters remain undecided. This is the independent Quinnipiac (KWIN-uh-pe-ack) University's first measure of likely primary voters in this cycle and can not be compared to earlier surveys of registered voters.
...snip...
Among likely Republican primary voters, Steve Lonegan beats Alieta Eck 74 - 10 percent, with 13 percent undecided.
In a general election matchup, Booker tops Lonegan 54 - 29 percent among registered voters.

(2,479 posts)Not really, but I'm sure it'd make Hillary's heart skip a beat. Booker is a bit too much like Obama, and Hillary anyway. I'd rather have someone like Warren, or even more liberal. I'm not sure where they are these days.

Ivanka Trump, the daughter of Republican real estate mogul Donald Trump, will host a fundraiser for Newark Mayor Cory Bookers Senate bid next Wednesday, a campaign source familiar with the event said.
The event, with a suggested contribution of $5,200 per person, will be held at Ivanka Trumps home on Park Avenue in Manhattan.
She and her husband, Jared Kushner, had bundled $41,000 for Bookers Senate campaign as of May. Booker has raised raised $6.5 million so far this year...
Ivanka Trump endorsed Mitt Romney in the 2012 presidential election.

(31,828 posts)Will vote by mail for Booker in October. I've got to save my energy for Buono's campaign in November. When the Senate race should also be held - but Christie wants us to pay for two elections - so since he's king shit - he gets his way.
However - Booker better come out loud and large for Barbara Buono and do it in his victory speech. He better get behind her - because he has to run again in very short order . . .

(3,251 posts)Cory Booker is as close to a Manchurian candidate as any who has even run for political office in the history of the country.
His ties to far right foundations goes way back.
He shouldn't even be considered for dog catcher, let alone for the U.S. Senate.
