* More executions are carried out in Texas’ Huntsville Unit death chambers than in any other state.
* Texas prison officials disclosed Wednesday that they are using a compounding pharmacy to obtain the drug used during executions.
* Pentobarbital has been used as the lone drug in lethal executions in Texas for more than a year.
* The agency has purchased a new supply of the drug from a Texas pharmacy that has the ability to compound," Clark said
* In an FOIA request from the Associated Press, the Texas Department of Criminal Justice revealed that a warden from the Huntsville Unit bought eight vials of pentobarbital from a compounding pharmacy in Houston last month.

Some people must think that's too nice an end for someone being punished.

But I think holding them for years and then killing them is plenty.

(In fact, I think the DP is bad policy, which is not to say that some don't deserve it)
