Cruz Isn't Done Trying to Repeal Obamacare
Source: National Journal
Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Tex., isn't quite finished with his crusade against Obamacare.
"This thing isn't working, and we need to start over," the senator said in an interview with Megan Kelly on Fox News on Wednesday night.
Cruz was the force behind the Defund Obamacare movement that resulted in the government shutdown in October. He caused a great deal of anger on both sides, yet Cruz is now using the rocky first month of the health care law as vindication.

Cruz said the bills being considered in Congress to allow individuals to keep their health plans are not sufficient. Instead, he intends in the coming weeks to lay out a plan to repeal the law.

Once again, Cruz is attacking the House from the right saying that House Republicans are not going far enough.

(46,416 posts)It IS working, just slowly. Even if the ACA was repealed, what would happen to all the people who either bought insurance, are getting subsidies, got covered by Medicaid, or otherwise have already benefitted from the law (pre-existing conditions, 26 year olds on parents' policies)?

Question is when Texans will see Cruz for what he is
I'm not optimistic
Prototype of a TX republican .

(30,250 posts)He was on Fox saying that the Clintons wanted to distance themselves from the ACA. Yeah, the woman who drafted a healthcare bill in the 90s would now try to distance herself from the ACA. Cruz is a creep.
How The Clintons Fought For Health Care Behind The Scenes
The Clintons and health care: It was their issue, their passion and their failure in the '90s. This time around, both President and Secretary Clinton worked behind the scenes to get it done, giving pep talks and campaign speeches and, in Hillary's case, calling one stubborn Democrat as the clock ticked down to Sunday's vote.
It ended with a hug, Hillary Clinton's arms thrown out exuberantly to congratulate President Obama once the bill passed.
