Obenshain to concede Attorney General race

RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) -
Republican State Sen. Mark Obenshain will concede the Virginia attorney general's race Wednesday, according to two reliable GOP sources.

The announcement will come at a 3 p.m. press conference and put an end to the lengthy statewide recount process. Democrat State Sen. Mark Herring the next Attorney General.

Obenshain spokesman Paul Logan would not confirm the report.

As the recount progressed this week Herring's lead had grown over Obenshain, though it was still an extremely slim margin with an 866 vote lead after 73 percent of the recount complete.
