Mayor 'Kind Of Agreed' With White Supremacist Accused Of Killing 3 At Jewish Centers

Source: Huff Post

Marionville, Missouri Mayor Dan Clevenger said he "kind of agreed" with some of the beliefs of Frazier Glenn Cross, the 73-year-old accused of killing three people outside of a Jewish community center and retirement complex near Kansas City on Sunday.

In an interview with KSPR, Clevenger said Cross -- who also goes by the name Frazier Glenn Miller -- was "[v]ery fair and honest and never had a bit of problems out of him."

"He was always nice and friendly and respectful of elder people, you know, he respected his elders greatly. As long as they were the same color as him," Clevenger said.

"Kind of agreed with him on some things but, I don't like to express that too much," Clevenger told KSPR, which noted the mayor had expressed his views before:

Here's something this dipshit said before in an LOTE:

That hasn't always been the case. Nearly a decade ago, Clevenger wrote a letter to the editor of the Aurora Advertiser.

"I am a friend of Frazier Miller helping to spread his warnings," wrote Clevenger. "The Jew-run medical industry has succeeded in destroying the United State's workforce."

The letter continued.

"Made a few Jews rich by killin' us off."

He also spoke of the "Jew-run government backed banking industry turned the U.S into the world's largest debtor nation."

All I can say is fuck you, asshole.

Some KKK or White Supremest member being elected to public office. Whether by stupid people or those who support him/her fully. I don't know where it will be, but for sure some rural area where there are many like minded people. Its too scary to think about.

Supreme Court Justice Hugo Black was a member of the KKK, so was Robert Byrd. I believe Strom Thurmond and Jesse Helms were too.

It's already happened.

29. Black, Byrd, Thurmond and Helms

Apr 2014

All four had periods in their lives when they espoused nativist, anti-Catholic, and/or racist positions. But only Black and Byrd actually were members of the KKK and each of them had left the Klan before attaining public office. Black's record on the Court when it comes to Civil Rights was mixed -- he was part of the unanimous court that struck down separate but equal in Brown v. Bd. of Education and also supported the court's decision invalidating racially restrictive covenants in deeds. But he interpreted the Civil Rights Act narrowly in certain cases. Byrd, of course, described his period of membership in the Klan as the biggest mistake he ever made and eventually came around to a more enlightened view on Civil Rights issues (after a period in which he supported segregationist policies and opposed the 1964 Civil Rights Act).

I have never seen any indication that either Helms or Thurmond ever joined the Klan; however, they both adhered for most of their careers to racist, segregationist positions.

Duke is the only Klan member that I know of who ran for a major political office.

That was a long time ago.

The very powerful and the very stupid have one thing in common. Instead of altering their views to fit the facts, they alter the facts to fit their views…which can be very uncomfortable if you happen to be one of the facts that needs altering.

First it angers me.

Then it saddens me. Because it still exists in a world where we should have already evolved beyond it.

People like this disgust me and they should NEVER be put in a position of authority over anyone.
