Rights group slams US over Afghan civilian deaths

KABUL, Afghanistan (AP) -- Amnesty International says the U.S. has failed to properly investigate Afghan civilian deaths, even possible war crimes, which occurred during military operations in Afghanistan.

Amnesty criticized the U.S. and NATO in a report released on Monday in Kabul.

The group says it investigated 10 incidents between 2009 and 2013 during which civilians were killed during U.S. military operations.

Amnesty says 140 civilians died in those incidents.

But the group said none of the cases they investigated were prosecuted by the military.
