Kiss’ Gene Simmons Supporting Mitt Romney for President

This discussion thread was locked as off-topic by Ruby the Liberal (a host of the Latest Breaking News forum).

Source: classichitsandoldies.com

Kiss singer/bassist Gene Simmons appeared on the Fox News Channel’s conservative talk show Fox & Friends on Tuesday morning to wag his tongue about the upcoming presidential election. The outspoken rocker, who voted for Barack Obama in 2008, declared that he hopes Republican candidate Mitt Romney wins this year.

“Americans, smartly, and I applaud them for doing so, vote on the issues and not the party,” he explained about his apparent change of allegiances.

“Hindsight is 20/20,” he continued. “I have some real issues with the economy and how it’s being done. America should be in business and it should be run by businessmen. That’s my philosophy.”

“America is a business,” he maintained. “If you can’t afford to do something, no matter how much bellyaching everybody does…you shouldn’t do it.”

Democracy is a "business"?

Business men should have their army, navy and air force?

Business men should have their own nuclear arsenal?

What a tool. I like Kiss cause I grew up listening to him, same as Megadeth and Dave Mustaine, but these guys are absolutely clueless.

So, a Democratic Republic is now a 'business?'

Dude keep with what you know: being a poser.

And not just because of his supporting Romney. He's always been an ass.

Ever hear his NPR interview with Terry Gross? He insults Gross, public radio, and people who listen to public radio.

Then there's Al Franken's story about meeting Gene Simmons. Al calls him "the worst person I've ever met".

The part about his encounter with Simmons starts about 15 minutes in: http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=1142525
