The Nazis believed in the superiority of only one race, what they called the 'Aryan' race. They then began a war, and systematically killed millions of people, including gays, disabled, Poles, Russians, Jews and sundry others before they were finally defeated at horrendous cost.
People who are gay want the same rights other people have when it comes to marriage, medical care, pensions and parenting. Maybe I'm missing something here, but I'm not seeing gay people wanting to exterminate everyone who is different, taking over nations or thinking they are superior to all others. They seem to be regular people who are just trying to live and who want to be treated the same under the law as others.
I'm just not seeing the comparison here. Especially since according to the last poll I saw, over half of Americans approved of gay marriage. Seems like if Chad and Carl actually wanted the will of the people, they would back off on these egregious statements. It also seems like Chad and Carl at the least want to suppress gay people and deny them equal rights under the law.
Perhaps Hitler came to their minds as a sort of Freudian slip...
