State Sen. Nasheed arrested at protest in Ferguson

State Sen. Jamilah Nasheed was taken into custody Monday night in front of the Ferguson police station after she walked in the street when police told protesters not to do so, a police spokesman said.
St. Louis County Police Sgt. Brian Schellman confirmed that Nasheed, D-St. Louis, was arrested along with a man she showed up with about 8:30 p.m.

If you're an elected MO legislator, you get arrested.
But you'd better do what the Ferguson PD tells you to do, see, or you're taking your life and liberty into your hands.

(67,104 posts)with better screening of applicants. The entire operation should be removed. Incidents seem endless. It looks to me like they often arrange situations so incidents will occur so they can bully the citizens. It's an endless pattern. Where is the state of MO in all of this. State oversight seems absent.

What blows me away right now is that the Mayberry Machiavelli Chief (Jackson) is still gainfully employed there Not to mention that it has been 70-some days since Wilson executed Brown andWilson is still not under arrest and facing trial.

(67,104 posts)too he is still there. It just seems like they set up a playing field for incidents over and over again. The whole thing is just absolutely incredible. The cops in many parts of the US are out of control IMO.
