Jennings schools cancel classes next week
Source: KSDK
JENNINGS, Mo. The Jennings School District has announced there will be no classes next week.
NewsChannel 5 spoke with an employee at the district office who said the closure is out of caution over the impending grand jury decision. Students were originally scheduled to be off only Thursday and Friday.
Parents will be notified via a phone blast and letters sent home with students Friday. Class will resume Monday, Dec. 1.
There's no word on when an announcement from the grand jury will come.

(713 posts)Maybe things are different now. Even so, why would they just now announce it? Shouldn't that have been on the schedule already?

(4,788 posts)but my daughter's school is closed for the week. Monday and Tuesday they are closed for parent-teacher conferences and Wednesday, Thursday and Friday for Thanksgiving. So technically they are closed 3 days for Thanksgiving and 2 days for conferences. The net result of course is that she's home all week. Oh joy . . .

No indictment, and requests for calm & peaceful protests, so that this will all blow over and go back to things as they were.
The media will move on to the next story, and so on, and so on....
I know they won't, but it would be nice if they just tell it like it is. The police can get away with what they want to, because they're police. Resistance is futile.
