Search Continues For Second Suspect Who Shot At LAPD Officers In South LA

SOUTH LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — A modified tactical alert continued Monday morning in South Los Angeles after two suspects shot at a patrol car.

The incident took place around 9:30 p.m. Sunday at 62nd and Hoover streets in South Los Angeles, officials said.

Two Los Angeles Police Department officers were responding to an unrelated call in the area when two suspects opened fire.

“One of our officers returned fire, and the two individuals who had shot at the officers fled into the neighborhood,” Det. Meghan Aguilar said.
