Under a hail of criticism from a variety of Nebraska officials, Pat McPherson will hear from his fellow board members next week.
Members of the Nebraska State Board of Education will consider a resolution Wednesday addressing bigoted posts found on McPhersons blog.
Board President Rachel Wise said Friday the wording of the resolution is being worked out.
This is our opportunity to act as a board and determine if we have a collective viewpoint on this issue, she said.

(22,651 posts)Half-breed is a derogatory term for anyone who is of mixed race, though it usually refers to people that are half Native American and half European.
This bigot blogger needs to resign immediately or be impeached by that school board.

(4,033 posts)I suspect his real crime was to come out and display his bigotry in terms that anyone could understand, rather than simply using the code words and dog whistles that bigots normally employ. You can't call Obama a 'half-breed' or a 'mongrel', but it is perfectly OK so talk about whether he really is a 'natural born citizen', or whether 'his birth certificate was forged'.
