Just Wanted to Share Some Good News

I finally signed documents selling my house today. This means averting foreclosure. It's been a hell of a long schlog with a real estate agent that leaves a lot to be desired and a someone she brought in to help with repairs who was nothing more than a scam artist. I ended up having to stand firm with both of them to prevent things from being a lot worse. Then the final contractor had to go back twice to get his work up to par for the appraiser to sign off on it. It's been ONE.LONG.NIGHTMARE. Now it is finally over.

Even more good news is that I'm getting regular paychecks and benefits that are enough for me to live on since I've downsized into a 2 bedroom apartment. Today, I was able to terminate my SNAP benefits and Medicaid. I have been so very, very grateful that those have been there for me. Still, it feels great not needing them any more. And hopefully never again.

Just had to share.

Averting foreclosure is good news, although I'm sorry to hear about the problems with the real estate agent. We expect them to know the contractors better than that.

But so glad that things are so much better for you.

I feel your pain with the contractors...the guy who painted my house exterior has been a real pain for the few little things to touchup.
Today, he failed to come for the appt HE scheduled....
again!

GRR.

But, I'm so glad you're out of it all! Congrats!
