Iran says nuclear deal within reach by Nov. 24, no alternatives
DUBAI: Iran sees no alternative to a diplomatic settlement with six world powers on its nuclear program and believes both sides are resolved to reach a deal by a self-imposed Nov. 24 deadline, its deputy foreign minister said Saturday.
Mohammad Javad Zarif is holding talks with U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry and senior European Union envoy Catherine Ashton in Oman Sunday to try to narrow big gaps before full negotiations formally resume in Vienna on Nov. 18.

"No middle solutions exist and all our thoughts are focused on how to reach a settlement," Abbas Araqchi, the deputy foreign minister and Iran's chief negotiatior, told the state news agency IRNA.
