I think some of the more nefarious political operations know links are posted and shared without reading and plan their posts accordingly.

as an aside, pertaining to this thread, Neal Stephenson has a fairly new SF book, SEVENEVES, about our moon being split into 3 or 4 big chunks and millions of smaller bus and oil tanker sized pieces that fall to earth as 'White Rain".
The survivors are those astronauts in the ISS and a privileged few that bought their way up.
The story spans 5 thousand years.
Master story teller!
The first few chapters are pretty scary to contemplate as a possible (not necessarily the moon) reality.
