saving for my retirement, buying my house in my own name (first woman in my family ever), having $0 in debt (other than my mortgage), paying for my daughters tuition for her undergraduate degree and grad school, all as a SINGLE MOTHER because her father abandoned us, just weren't good enough!!!

I guess I don't deserve a new phone either . . .

FYI... this is not my first recession, it is my third. The first two cost me my a business and my husband's business. Even so... neither I nor my husband has ever collected a single dime in unemployment compensation.

We are life long vegetarians and work for a sustainable power footprint by going the extra mile in doing things like line drying our clothing.

We were the entrepreneurs... remember them? I marched for civil rights, was arrested protesting the Vietnam War and for protesting for woman's reproductive rights.

Who is lacking in empathy? PS: I have Gibneys in my family so I feel completely free to say... Fuck You Cousin!

If he wants to see a "Me Generation", he can come to San Francisco and watch all the millennials moving into town with their tech jobs and forcing those "selfish" Baby Boomer residents out of their homes as rents get out of hand.

And to feed his stereotype fetish.

Each generation must dethrone the one that went before. The "Greatest Generation" had to be utterly debunked, otherwise how could another generation be the greatest? I mean, it's an insult to "me" to hear somebody else praised. (We have a cat like that. Pet one cat, and he has to get in the way because if there's a something to be stroked--a cat, an ego--it has to be his.
