Rothschild doesn't do what people like Barney Frank did and critique people for fighting back in a battle they "could not win", instead he shows how the movement could win and his ideas are good ones. He is right that a huge grassroots movement was built but then all the energy got placed behind the party rather than the people. If the mass protests had continued I think we would have been more effective, Rotschild makes a good argument and I encourage people to follow the link and read his full column because the most important parts are not in these first paragraphs.

And I lost almost all the respect I have for his work. He was indistinguishable from the Republican about why the recall vote was lost. I don't recall hearing anything he posed in this article. I did only catch the end of the show, but honestly, that was all I could take.
