was one of the few organziations that organized the disenfranchised and poor to vote and be active in the political process. What happen to ACORN is tragic, and an example of Koch brothers dismantling an organization that votes against their own self-interest. The poor have no voice now, and the amount of false misinformation about the poor being "lazy" "stupid" or "welfare queens" from the right wing has intensified especially under plutocrats like Mitt Romney and has gain traction, adding even more stigma. It saddens me when i hear so called "christain" conservatives say that they want to end welfare which takes out a very small portion of state and federal budget and then turn around and say that we have to increase the military budget by 200 billion and build a new toys to kill people, that the military doesn't even need (like the F35).

10. Why the 1% are scared to death of groups like ACORN?

Registering new voters and educating them is one of the most important activites for change in our society. Thats why the GOP had to send in this Kamakaze to take ACORN out of action. The Media did the rest by blowing a lie up to giant proportions. The MSM agents that enabled this in the first place need to be sued just as much as Mr. O'Keefe.
ACORN will be back, or something else just like it, to keep the Koch Brothers awake at night.
If not, do your part by registering and educating new voters. If you live anywhere close to civilization, there is a local Democratic Party organisation that sets up voter registration booths at county fairs and public events.
