If these oil companies actually had to pay to keep their workers safe, their equipment safe, and to have disaster plans.

If they had to pay the royalties and taxes appropriate to their extraction in the sea, on the land we dumped the Native Americans on, in people's back yards.

Oil would be 10x more expensive, and we'd have been off of it in the 70's.

Doin' my part at 209 mpg in my Volt. I live in the Rockies, so I kind of have to have gasoline if I ever want to get more than 50 miles out. But they can't make a better Volt until enough people buy this one to show there's a market. I hope in 10 years to be fully solar, fully electric in my transportation, and to see the decline and fall of big oil and big coal.
