I also get tired of the "reagan was okaaay" line that so many dems toss about.

Occasionally says the best times when ronnie was in WH. But he's almost 90 so I'm not worried about it. I just keep quiet muttering to myself how wrong you are.

Prominent Democrats simply do not understand -- or fail to support -- the concept of a "political party."

As Maher points out, Democrats have foolishly joined the baseless -- but carefully orchestrated -- canonization of Ronald Reagan, which only serves to validate the disastrous Republican ideology they are supposed to be opposing.

My hard pro-union Democratic father-in-law had a real soft spot for Ronnie. I don't know if he actually ever voted for him, but he always quoted him fondly and was delighted that they shared a love for jelly beans. Believe me, he was not such an idiot about other Republican politicians.

I said that Reagon led the way in trashing the American Worker and his/her Unions, starting with the firing of all the Air Controllers. Yeah, Ronnie was an early TeaBagger, although many could argue he wasn't the first. The entry I replied to asked if I still missed Ronnie and I said that I never missed him and was sure I'd never miss the biggest cheerleader for the Rich while kicking the working folks and the poor whenever he could, which was often.
