(769 posts)Republicans admitted that Rand Paul are one of top two most likely candidates for 2016 Presidential run. How embarrassing is that? Aren't Republicans well aware that with Rand Paul as their front runner are primed to guarantee that he won't be resident in the White House? Only tea party and handful of few true conservative voters would vote for him but it won't be enough for 270 electoral votes, not even that close. He is very deeply unpopular in blue states and few red states. Florida, Texas, and North Carolina are already almost guaranteed to go blue. Rand Paul? Republicans, really?

Frankly the repubs could run a dead weasel (not a lot different that Paul) and it would get 10 states and 45% of the vote. The R's have a very brainwashed base who will vote for the R, no matter what.

(459 posts)Republicans are threatening to shutdown the United States government over a law that was passed. The Affordable Care Act is Law. Shut down the government over a law is treason and these plutocrats need to be jailed. This is not governance, it's terrorism.

(1,314 posts)I know several people who vote Republican who would be better candidates for U.S. President. What's the deal? Last election's GOP lineup was a complete joke. And look who they finally chose.
