This Velociraptor Chasing A Japanese Office Worker Is The Most Terrifying Office Prank Ever

Julia La Roche Aug. 28, 2013, 3 PM:00 17

Wall Streeters have a penchant for pulling pranks on each other and they're usually pretty funny. But this Velociraptor chase from a game show in a Japanese office takes the prize for the best prank ever. [via i09.com

Some of their pranks (if truly not scripted) are crazy. I've seen ones where they break into a person's apartment in the middle of the night to have a sumo wrestler go into the bedroom, scream to wake them up and then jump on them; one where a section of a sauna at a ski resort opens up and expels a chair (where the prankee is sitting) out of it and down the hill it's situated on, etc.

Jackass being a good example. Or about a third of Youtube, for that matter. Half the pranks on Youtube are things that could easily go wrong and injure or kill someone. Some of them don't look like pranks as much as a half-assed attempt to collect on an accidental death policy.

Edited to add: What you describe sounds like what Bam Margera did to his dad in...pretty much every episode of Jackass. If Phil had snapped and killed the little bastard not a jury in the world would have convicted him.

It's not an office worker -- it's a Japanese "talento", one of scores of paid performers who sit on talk and game shows and try to be "entertaining". He's entering the studio, and it's a well-known tactic for variety shows to stage pranks on the tarento as they arrive - so, while it's probably not staged (to the extent that he didn't know a velociraptor was going to chase him) unless he's a complete idiot he knows what's happening almost immediately and he's just playing along.

Sometimes these scenarios involve false floors and pools of ice water -- now those are unexpected!
