I ran over to snag an autograph. These two big burly guys stepped in front of me..wanting to know what I wanted. Jerry stopped walking and turned back.. "an autograph?" I asked timidly, and the Governor said..."sure".. and signed my little booklet. I still have it around here some where. It was nice he stopped...most politicians would not stop to give you the time of day if you begged for it.

And a Jesuit-trained nerd at that! Means he has brains, logic, and reason to burn! I want that for my state. I want it for the whole country, for that matter. I think he's just terrific!

It was said back in the shameful Prop 13 days that "as California goes, so goes the nation." Well, we blighted the country with that one, and with reagan as a chaser. Maybe now we can rehabilitate ourselves with a raised minimum wage blossoming throughout the rest of the country (among other things)?

I used to brag that I was a Michigander - no more. I never DID consider myself a Georgian - even tho I lived there for 14 years. I've now lived in the Golden State longer than I've lived anywhere else. I ain't goin' nowhere else!

It makes this state great! I feel so lucky to have been born here! Sometimes its fun to sit on the Muni Bus, not only do you hear accents from other countries, but also from people from other states. Not all of them are visitors!
