2. My solution

Publicly funded elections

50% extension of all federal elected terms, and limited to ONE TERM! (all offices, including the president)

Make the direct contribution of funds to a specific political entity illegal.

35% decrease in salary for all elected officials.

Make ALL electoral commercials essentially independently created video resumes.

Tell people with money if they want a say, vote, just like the rest of us.

Citizens United and the idea that "money is speech" have turned our Democracy into an Autocracy. NONE of our voices are being heard unless we have a net worth of over $5mil.

Its time for change.
