1. This must stop!!!

Publicly funded elections and campaign finance reform is the only way to save our country and ourselves! Once again we need to get our Representative Democracy back, bust up the oligopolies in banking, media, and some other areas, as well as revamping our agencies that regulate these industries to keep them apart. Our system is tailor made for corporations, and they were the tailors!

Publicly Funded Elections. We have to start there. Our election funding system is simply a form of institutionalized corruption. Until the left gets clarity on that issue we're just spitting into the wind.

I try to keep spreading the word here at DU in hopes that people here understand that the issues they care about cannot be solved until we fix the ROOT PROBLEM. That is the corruption of our electoral process that allows the rich and powerful to control our politicians, Judicial branch, and national media. We are running out of time with our environment and our ability to reign in the special interests. We need to focus ONLY ON COMPLETE CAMPAIGN FINANCE REFORM (CCFR) and Publicly Funded Elections! If we can achieve this the rest will be easier to fall into place!
