Cat lovers need to know about this. Far too many feel when a pet such as Charley moves in strange ways he must be in pain and that the best thing to do would be to put him down. Animals, like cats and dogs are not always perfect. We as a society have to come a long way to wrap our minds around that. It wasn't/isn't a far stretch for people to be hidden if they showed signs of "unsightly movements, shakes, limps etc". In the animal world we also have lovable, adorable pets such as Charley who only ask to live and enjoy life as they can. If you notice the cats around Charley are not bothered by his imperfections--neither should we!!!!!!

up with some care, and left a scar where no fur grows. Her shoulder never developed, her one leg is smaller than the other, and she walks with a limp. But she does the same things any other cat does and is a very loving cat (when it suits her to be so). She's eleven years old now and still going strong.

Somehow, the somewhat worse for wear or damaged ones seem to creep into our hearts all the more firmly...

That face.....the purring......this movie has me in the first frame.

I would hope that the humans involved would check with a vet before doing anything drastic to Charley. What an adorable little guy.

Many years ago, I had a cat who was the most awesome klutz...he moved just like this fellow. Now I know why. He was well-loved and cared for and lived to the ancient age of twenty.

Thank you for the information. I did not know. Have a cat. Will watch her. Will adopt a CH cat if it happens.
